Project Engineer Job Description
The Project Engineer oversees the proper installation and commissioning of process equipment and process utilities to meet process control parameters and product specifications. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and completing projects on time, within budget, and according to stakeholder expectations. It includes acquiring resources, coordinating efforts of project team members and third-party providers, and leading project deliverables.
The Project Engineer ensures project documentation is complete, stored locally for health check purposes, and that business clients sign off on acceptance from operational and support teams.
They follow and adhere to company requirements, with an emphasis on product quality and safety, and report irregularities that may affect food quality and safety.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Leading the CAAP approval process for McCormick's Amata plant operation facility.
* Coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders for smooth installation, commissioning, and verification of process equipment and utilities.
* Ensuring all project parameters, records, and test results are documented and transferred for operational procedures.
* Executing and delivering CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification) methodologies to meet process reliability, personnel capability, and product specifications.
* Delivering project success criteria and sustaining results throughout project phases.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
* 6-8 years of experience in Engineering and Project Management.
* 3-5 years as SME in Product/Process Development or Technology Transfer.
Certifications and Skills
* Leadership: Team leadership ensuring alignment with business strategy.
* Ethical behavior and professional maturity.
* Communication skills and teamwork.
* Proficiency with MS Project.
* Ability to manage project budgets.
