The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet of plant operates at peak performance and adheres to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types plant
* Diagnose faults and implement corrective measures.
* Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.
* Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise downtime.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
* Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts utilised.
* Provide technical support and advice to the team and clients when necessary.
* Participate in continuous training and development to keep up with industry standards and technological advancements.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (HGV Maintenance, Agricultural Maintenance)
* Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role.
* Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems preferred
* Familiarity with health and safety standards and a commitment to applying safety practices at all times.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A valid UK driving licence.
Desirable
* CPCS Card Holder or equivalent.
* Experience with specific brands and models of cranes in our fleet.
* Welding and fabrication skills.
* Experience directly as a Plant Fitter either in the hire industry or within the Plant Department of a construction company is preferred.
