About the Role
Newport Pagnell Medical Centre are looking for a specialist physiotherapist to join our small highly trained team on a part-time basis for 15 hours per week. This role provides and exciting opportunity to be involved in an established and innovative community service based in primary care.
This is a specialist nurse led service for adult male and female patients with lower urinary tract symptoms, pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Referrals to the service are received directly by GPs or other health care professionals in Milton Keynes.
The position is working within a multi disciplinary team consisting of an advanced urology nurse practitioner. The post will involve direct patient care, specialist assessment and conservative management as outlined by NICE guidelines using evidence based client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
The post holder will also play an active role in service review and audit, applying relevant findings to service development and planning.
About the Candidate
All applicants must:
* be a qualified, experienced physiotherapist;
* have active HCPC registration;
* a proven CPD training record.
The successful candidate will:
* be a driven and focused therapist;
* be a specialist in women's health
* be confident to work as an autonomous practitioner, supported by the wider clinical team;
* be proactive and self-motivated;
* have a passion for maintaining high standards of care and developing services with the patient at the centre of the service delivery;
* have strong experience in either a community, secondary or primary care setting, ideally.
