Job Title: Director (Carlos/Ishikawa)
Salary: On application
Working Hours: Full-time. Please note that we are currently self‑trialing a 4‑day week on the 100‑80‑100 model: 100% pay for 80% of the time in exchange for a commitment to maintain 100% productivity. As such, position hours will currently and typically be Wednesday–Saturday, 10am–6:30pm. Candidate will occasionally need to work additional days and hours (for example during art fairs, openings and events).
Responsibilities
* Institutional and curatorial relations (outreach, strategy, creating presentation documents).
* Client management (assist in the maintenance & development of client relationships).
* Sales.
* Contact database management.
* Event staging and management.
* Assisting with the management of artists’ studios and artist care.
* General organizational support for team members and for all facets of the gallery day‑to‑day running.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a minimum of seven years of experience and must have existing sales and museum project experience, be extremely well organised, emotionally intelligent, systems‑oriented and able to work independently. We are looking for someone with the ability to think macro & micro, plan ahead, anticipate future needs in dynamic situations and see and make connections between our artists and third parties.
