NHS Highland is offering an opportunity to learn while you earn. In order to be eligible for the Modern Apprenticeship Programme, applicants must be aged between 16 to 24 years old on the start date of the programme (up to 29 years for disabled applicants and applicants who are care experienced). We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a desire to develop their knowledge and skills in administration and consider a career in the Human Resources profession to join our newly formed Resourcing Team. The successful candidate will be supported through an SVQ in Business and Administration (SCQF Level 6). The Resourcing Team is responsible for coordinating recruitment, bank and agency engagements, covering all job families across all geographic areas of NHS Highland, and other resourcing activities. You will work with colleagues across the team, providing administrative support in relation to incoming enquiries, employment checks, recording of leave, and carry out other general administrative tasks. Candidates must be committed to all aspects of learning and development in the role and will be fully supported to work across the team to help develop a broad understanding. We are looking for someone with good communication skills, an ability to understand procedures and processes, attention to detail, and good keyboard skills. You should have a particular interest in administrative roles, along with a positive approach to work and understanding of the need for confidentiality. This Apprenticeship does not require previous experience within our sector, and we would therefore encourage applications from school leavers and young people with limited work experience. The post is graded as Band 2. If appointed, you will be paid in accordance with Annex 21, which means a percentage of the fully qualified rate is applied during the period of training as follows: Year 1: 70% of the pay band maximum; Year 2: 75% of the pay band maximum (uplifted to the Scottish Living Wage, which is currently £12.60 per hour) per annum. The postholder will be based in Assynt House, Inverness. This is a full time, 37 hours per week job role (which will reduce to 36 hours from 1 April 26). For more information please contact Fiona Morrison; email: fiona.morrison8@nhs.scot or Fiona Helbert; email: fiona.helbert@nhs.scot This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES You should apply for this post by completing the application process on Jobtrain.
