Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing cyber security incidents from detection through to recovery, helping to protect the organisation from evolving threats. You will lead the development and execution of response playbooks and procedures, deliver simulation exercises to test readiness, and implement measures to improve organisational resilience. This is a key role that supports Heathrow's ability to respond quickly, effectively, and confidently to cyber incidents.
Responsibilities:
1. Respond to cyber security incidents according to the incident response policies, plans, playbooks, and procedures.
2. Provide technical guidance to first responders for handling information security incidents.
3. Provide timely updates to stakeholders and decision makers.
4. Communicate investigation findings to improve security posture.
5. Validate and maintain incident response plans and processes.
6. Compile and analyze data for management reporting.
7. Monitor information sources for current attacks and trends.
8. Assess new threats and communicate risks.
9. Perform root-cause analysis and participate in elimination activities.
10. Require certifications such as CISSP or GIAC.
11. Experience in root-cause analysis and using findings for remediation.
12. Strong awareness of threat landscapes and risk communication skills.
13. Experience in cyber security operations, especially incident response or SOC roles.

Working Location:
Hybrid approach, with some remote work. Must be based in the UK near Heathrow.
