We are currently seeking a passionate Support Worker to play a vital role in our Criminal Justice Service in Brent.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will provide support from 8 AM to 10 PM, Monday through Sunday. Your role will involve:
* Monitoring wellbeing, mental health, housing, and living environments.
* Taking a solution-focused approach to help service users transition into independent living.
* Collaborating with professionals in the community, including mental health teams and housing providers.
* Co-producing group activities and peer support networks.
* Encouraging participation in community initiatives aligned with service users' goals.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Manage timely referrals, assessments, and service reviews.
* Monitor the health, wellbeing, and safety of service users, responding promptly to concerns.
* Support colleagues and contribute to daily service operations.
* Assist users in managing their health, tenancy, and financial responsibilities.
* Support property management, including health and safety and repairs.
What We’re Looking For

* Experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
* Ability to absorb information quickly and make sound decisions.
* Confidence in managing challenging behaviors using de-escalation techniques.
* A solution-focused mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
* Understanding of safeguarding and the ability to respond appropriately to concerns.
