Role Overview: The purpose of this role is to support the businesses in implementing the organisation's decarbonisation and energy efficiency programmes to deliver targets within the One Planet strategy. The role also includes collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams to reduce Scope 3 emissions as part of our wider SBTi net zero commitments. Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on… - Support businesses in prioritising and implementing decarbonisation initiatives across operations, following the strategy set by the Group Climate and Risk Manager - Execute the Group-wide Energy Excellence Programme utilising Strata (our installed digital metering and monitoring solution) to identify opportunities and insights. Drive implementation across businesses to ensure delivery and measurable impact and return on investment - Manage the implementation of a global renewable electricity programme, audit process and onboarding of additional operating companies to decarbonise scope 2 emissions - Working with the Group Climate Strategy & Risk Manager to develop and implement a Group-wide carbon offsetting strategy focusing on future-fit technologies and credible offset mechanisms to deliver net zero by 2030 - Ownership of the Group-wide annual scope 3 data collection process, liaising with key stakeholders within the businesses driving supply chain emission reduction - Managing the tools and technology to deliver our global EV transition of over 1,600 vehicles - Lead the ESOS audits (UK sites) and support the Group Climate Strategy & Risk Manager in delivering Science Based Targets (SBTs) submissions Your previous experience is likely to include…. - Designing and delivering energy efficiency or low-carbon technology projects - Conducting energy audits, feasibility studies, carbon assessments and business case development - Managing implementation of decarbonisation proejcts (e.g., solar PV, heat pumps, CHP) - Experience with SBTi reporting process - Proven ability to support large, complex, multi-stakeholder programmes in a matrix organisation - Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels - Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-orientated mindset - Robust project management skills, including planning, resource allocation, implementation and evaluation To be successful in this role you will… - Demonstrate Company Core Values at all times -Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, or related field - Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager or similar - Strong, demonstrable experience managing decarbonisation programmes, energy management programmes, energy audits - Experience with carbon accounting across Scopes 1, 2 & 3 in a multinational organisation - Relevant experience managing renewable energy certifications and market-based instruments - Experience with carbon reporting frameworks such as the GHG Protocol and Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) - Familiarity with relevant regulations and sustainability standards Spirax Group is a FTSE100 and FTSE4Good multi-national industrial engineering Group with expertise in the control and management of steam, electric thermal solutions, peristaltic pumping and associated fluid technologies.
