Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Production Specialist to join our Production team in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining equipment produced locally at our Chandlers Ford facility ranging from helicopter rotor blade trackers, to aircraft cables and signal condition units for engine debris monitoring.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and take full accountability for the manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production goals.
* Uphold ethical practices, integrity, and act in the best interest of the business at all times.
* Demonstrate effective time management to minimise inefficiencies and maximise productivity and operational effectiveness.
* Provide clear and concise instructions to team members to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with objectives.
* Offer constructive feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence.
* Manage daily operations independently while maintaining confidence to seek guidance or assistance when necessary.
Education:
* Electrical Engineering qualification at HNC level or higher and/or relevant experience.
Skills:
* Proficient in hand-placing and soldering through-hole and surface-mount components.
* Skilled in preforming, inserting, and cropping component leads using hand tools.
* Capable of incorporating modifications, such as wire links, into assemblies.
* Strong understanding of common electronic components, device types, and value decoding.
* Ability to interpret and work from written instructions, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
* Experienced in crimping and cable assembly processes.
* Competent in the assembly and testing of products in accordance with relevant documentation.
* Knowledge of PCB design and circuit diagrams.
* Desired skills include electronic component fault finding and repair.
* Ability to assist with goods-in inspection prior to build/assembly to ensure parts meet required specifications.
* IPC610 certification (desired)
* Proven experience in PCB assembly is required.
