Our leading Manufacturing client in the Dungannon area are seeking a Buyer to join a dynamic team, supporting the Purchasing Department and delivering a consistent approach to sourcing and buying across the business. This role is key in ensuring on-time, in-full delivery, maximising cost-effectiveness, and maintaining optimum stock levels to meet operational requirements. Job Title: Buyer Location: Dungannon Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain Salary: Competitive Key Responsibilities Purchase goods, raw materials, components, or services in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets using an MRP/ERP system Ensure continuous supply of materials and proactively address potential supply risks Research and identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements Support the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock, orders, or payments Compile reports on supplier performance, cost reductions, and stock levels Maintain accurate Bills of Materials and prioritise kitting schedules Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure timely availability of stock Develop product knowledge to provide accurate information to internal and external stakeholders Uphold company values, comply with health & safety regulations, and maintain high standards of personal accountability Person Specification Essential: Good standard of education (GCSE English & Maths or equivalent) 1-2 years experience in a purchasing role, including supplier negotiation and commercial analysis Proven ability to add value, reduce costs, and contribute to business improvements Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with MRP/ERP systems Desirable: Previous experience in a purchasing or buyer role within an engineering environment Benefits: Pension Fund Parking Paid Holidays
