Job Description
* Manage daily operations of commercial properties.
* Oversee maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of issues.
* Coordinate with facilities management team to optimise property utilisation.
* Implement and adhere to health and safety standards.
* Address tenant queries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Monitor and manage budget and expenditures.
* Conduct regular building inspections and recommend improvements.
* Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure compliance with property regulations.
* Undertake regular contract meetings with suppliers including a formal assessment of performance, competence and compliance through a performance management system (KPI's).
The Successful Applicant
A successful Building Manager-Commercial should have:
* IOSH(essential)
* NEBOSH(desirable)
* IWFM(desirable)
* 5 years experience in Facilities management working with managing agents.
* Experience managing commercial properties.
* An understanding of ESG and sustainable building initiatives
* Strong contract management skills with experience of a formal performance management system desirable.
* Strong knowledge and experience of all soft services aspects of facilities management.
* A good understanding of hard services in the facilities environment and the ability to articulate an issue in simple and accurate terms.
* Awareness training in fire risk, water hygiene management & working at height
* Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
