The roles
The HR Partner role will work closely with HR colleagues and line managers in helping shape our future, ensuring wehave the right combination of people, skills, and ability to take forward and deliver on our Strategic Plan andprovide the best possible support to our key frontline services. We are looking to recruit an experienced andproactive HR professional to join the HR team in undertaking a truly generalist role, which will be varied andrequire a flexible hands-on approach. This role will have the opportunity to lead on a number of workstreamsincluding workforce planning, projects, recruitment, health and wellbeing, case management and policydevelopment.
The HR Systems Partner role is a new position within the People Team and will lead in the review of the current HR ITsystem – iTrent hosted by Midland. The role will look to make continuous improvements to the system and HRprocesses to support continuous improvement for the Charity. We are looking to recruit an experienced andproactive HR systems professional who is able to develop and It and digital solutions which are then translatedinto easy-to-understand processes and policies that benefit the full organisation. The role will require ahands-on approach and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
The person
Both HR partner roles require the ability to manage projects and contribute to the development of our Human Resourcesand People function. A strong understanding and appreciation of how engagement and collaboration are keyenablers that will help the Charity to work better and achieve positive outcomes is essential.
The HR Partner requires a track record of leading and supporting managers with sometimes complex employee issues andhave operated at an advisor level with strong generalist knowledge. You will have experience of core HRactivities including providing advice and guidance on people and change management processes, alongside theability to operate at a senior level.
The HR Systems Partner requires a track record of developing HR IT solutions that have been successfully embedded.You will have experience of HR IT systems and HR metrics reporting, alongside experience and full appreciationof the positive impact that excellence in the management of HR information, systems and processes has. You willhave experience of working at a senior level with strong HR systems knowledge.
We are a Scotland wide charity, so you’ll also need to be prepared to work flexibly and be willing to travel if andwhen required to help with issues arising across our various localities. This role will be based in Edinburghwith the ability to adopt hybrid working. Presence in our Glasgow office will be required.

We are looking for a unique person to join our team at our dementia specific day service in Paisley. Our day servicesare personalised to the preferences and needs of individuals, providing therapeutic dementia specific supportwith a focus on maintaining skills and independence.
The post is a flexible contract covering Paisley. The day services in Paisley are open Monday – Saturday 9am-4pm tomeet the needs of the service.
Our Support Workers are our most important people as they provide front line support. Successful applicants will havea positive approach to dementia.
You will also have good communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and attend training isessential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be anadvantage.

If so, you can be part of a National Team of Post Diagnostic Support Link Workers (PDS Link Workers) providinghigh-quality, person-centred support to people living with dementia and their families for a minimum of a yearfollowing diagnosis in line the Scottish Government’s minimum guarantee.
The aim of the PDS National Service is to enable people to live well with dementia and is centred around AlzheimerScotland's 5 pillar model so that people move on to a period of supported self- management.
The model includes understanding the illness and coming to terms with the diagnosis, peer support, connecting andmaintaining links with their community along with planning for future care and decision making to develop anoutcome focused plan to support their future hopes, desires and aspirations.
Supporting our Perth locality, the post will be based within the North Perthshire Community Mental Health Team.Alzheimer Scotland’s PDS Link Workers are required to be effective team workers and have the skills to build andmaintain relationships with colleagues both within Alzheimer Scotland, the NHS and other stakeholders.
Skills in using digital platforms are essential as we use a blended approach to support people that involve somevirtual meetings and on-line groups.
Applicants must hold a recognised relevant professional qualification, have a good understanding of dementia and howit affects people and their families along with excellent communication skills, a warm flexible approach,combined with skills in empathy and relationship building.
In addition, you should have skills and knowledge at the Enhanced Level of the Promoting Excellence Framework or beable to evidence you are working towards its completion.
