With responsibility for over 1 million street lights across the UK & Ireland, this organisation plays a vital role in helping towns and cities reduce energy consumption, lower carbon footprints, and become more sustainable.
Now, they're looking for an Estimator – Highways Electrical to join their growing Work Winning team and help drive future success.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in winning and shaping projects—from initial enquiry through to secured contracts.
On a typical day, you'll:
* Prepare and submit competitive tenders from drawings and specifications
* Visit sites and collaborate with operational teams and clients
* Manage and grow relationships with key accounts
* Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities
* Support and present proposals to stakeholders
* Work closely with delivery teams to create optimal solutions
* Spot risks and build them into robust, commercially sound proposals
* Help refine processes to strengthen market position
What we're looking for
You might already be an Estimator in highways or street lighting—or perhaps an Administrator ready to step up. Either way, transferable skills and the right mindset matter most.
Key skills & attributes:
* Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail
* Confident communication (written & verbal)
* Commercial awareness and risk assessment ability
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
* Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
* Relationship-building and business development skills
* Solid Excel and MS Office capability
Full UK driving licence required (travel to sites involved)
Nice to have:
