Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Milton Keynes
Rate: 90- 110 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Term time only
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? We're working with a dedicated SEN school in Milton Keynes who are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a background in either education or care who is ready to bring energy, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills to a specialist setting.
This role is ideal for candidates who:
Have hands-on experience supporting individuals with SEN
Want to work in a nurturing, specialist school environment
Are confident managing a variety of behavioural needs
Are ready to take on a rewarding role that goes beyond the classroom
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social-emotional needs
Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning activities and resources
Build positive, supportive relationships with students
Maintain a calm, structured learning environment to help all pupils thrive
Key Requirements:
Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN - either in an educational or care setting
A proactive, resilient, and compassionate approach
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
A CACHE/NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential
