To perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, such as oil change, tyre, rotation and other tasks to prevent premature wear and tear.Contribute towards the health and safety of all employees under direct management.Deliver a high level of customer service on behalf of all work providers and in a safe and professional manner.This position will require out of hours and overtime.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:To be able to use or source various diagnostic tools and procedures to determine the root cause of problemsUsing hand tools and astute observation, to determine the cause of the issueCorrecting defects requiredWelding to fix problemsTo have extensive knowledge of a variety of service schedules for many makes and models of vehicles.Keeping the garage stocked with basic items such as fluids, filters and other commonly used itemsGood communication with regular customers in order to resolve issuesAssemble and fit parts Maintain tools to ensure safe and efficient operationsDetermine what materials and equipment are needed for a given jobCarry out daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and on board equipment, or such other checks as may be required by statute, or as instructedDrive the Company vehicles specified by your Manager, giving due regard to other road users, and comply at all times with the current statutory vehicle and road traffic regulationsProvided a rapid response to stranded motoristsEffect road side repairsGive assurance to vulnerable drivers, general motoring advice and customer supportProvided workshop repairs to get customers back on the road in the shortest time possibleAssist with loading and off -loading of customers vehicles as necessary, signing for loads where applicableAssisting with the loading and off
