We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of an HR Culture Assistant on a 3‑month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client’s discretion. This role is an opportunity to join the HROD Service, delivering a professional and customer‑focused HR support function across the council.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries from employees and managers.
* Triage and support HR queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
* Coordinate job evaluation and grading requests, maintaining accurate records.
* Support and promote employee financial wellbeing schemes (e.g., salary sacrifice).
* Assist in the delivery of HR services in line with policies and best practice.

* Strong interest in developing a career in HR.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
