Overview
BT is transforming from legacy technology stacks to new strategic platforms. This role will be critical to enabling that transformation by leading design and build work for a new AI-based integration platform that unifies existing platforms and delivers a secure, scalable DevSecOps experience across core platforms to accelerate delivery, API and microservices adoption, and migration from legacy systems.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for leading on the design, build and delivery of a new integration platform for BT.
* Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, provide progress updates and realize benefits.
* Lead a small team (potential mix of FTE and subcontractors) in building the BT integration platforms.
* Accountable for the quality of design and build and ensuring the secure build of the platform.
* Oversee the team's work and ensure delivery to a suitable standard.
* Support the team with hands-on development and provide guidance and mentoring.
Essential Skills / Experience
* Hands-on development experience (ideally in integration-related technologies).
* Experience with API Gateway technologies (Kong or APIGEE preferred).
* Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
* Experience in RESTful API design and implementation.
* Proficiency in Java, preferably with Spring Boot.
* Cloud administration skills (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Desirable Skills / Experience
* Full-stack development experience (preferably React/Angular).
* Typescript/Pulumi, Terraform experience.
* Cloud certifications.
* Software development experience using LLMs or AI.
