Job Summary
The Receipt and Distribution Assistant is a manual handling role working as part of a team to provide a comprehensive service to the Hospital, undertaking scheduled and unscheduled movement of stock and items around the Hospital site, adhering to health & safety at work and manual handling practices.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist in the receipt of items into stock using the trusts procurement systems.
2. Identify miss-deliveries and accurately record details into the trusts IT systems.
3. Prioritise workloads ensuring critical items are received promptly.
4. Liaise with ward areas for the safe delivery of stock.
5. Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
6. Communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
7. Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism in all interactions.
8. Adhere to departmental protocols, dress code, and trust values.
