To support patients, service users, and healthcare professionals by delivering high-quality care, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting comfort, dignity, and independence in a healthcare or care home setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients/service users with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.

Support mobility, including helping patients move, use mobility aids, or transfer safely.
*
Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
*
Assist nursing staff with clinical duties, such as taking samples, applying dressings, and preparing equipment.
*
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
*
Help serve meals and ensure patients receive adequate food and fluids.
*
Maintain accurate records of care and report changes in condition to senior staff.
*
Support infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.
*
Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection policies.
*
Participate in training, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Experience (desirable but not always essential):

NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).

Previous experience in a care or healthcare setting.

Basic Life Support and Manual Handling training
