Your new role
In your new role, some of your duties will include:
Reporting to and supporting the welding engineer with day-to-day welding activities
Assisting with works order planning data for SAP
Assisting with internal welder audits and the audit functions
Identifying root causes of welding issues and internal weld audit NCRs
Supporting and implementing changes driven by welder audit NCRs
Developing WPS as required for new product intake (NPI)
Monitor WPS as instructed by the welding engineer to ensure correct correlation of essential variables
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:
IWS / EWS qualifications
Registration with the welding institute (TWI)
Good knowledge and understanding of multiple welding processes, MIG/MAG(SMAW) TIG(GTAW)
Good understanding of mechanised welding systems
Understanding of technical documents including drawings
Knowledge of product lifecycle software (PLM)
