School Receptionist (Temporary)Location: Central MiddlesbroughContract: Temporary (via Hays Education) - until end of school termHours: Full-time, term-time onlyStart Date: ASAPAbout the RoleA welcoming and well-regarded school in central Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced and professional School Receptionist to join their team on a temporary basis through Hays Education. This role will run until the end of the current school term and is ideal for someone with strong administrative and interpersonal skills who enjoys working in a busy school environment.As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and pupils, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.Key Responsibilities
* Providing a warm and professional front-of-house service
* Managing incoming calls, emails, and enquiries
* Signing in visitors and maintaining safeguarding procedures
* Supporting attendance and pupil records
* Assisting with general administrative duties and data entry
* Liaising with staff, students, parents, and external agencies
* Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working in a school office or reception setting is highly desirable
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Confident using IT systems (e.g. SIMS/Arbor - desirable but not essential)
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
