Job Description The salary for this role is £56,596 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance). Onsite working is expected for 4 days each week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working. The Role As Senior Electrical Services Engineer, you will lead technical work on projects of moderate scale, taking ownership of major HV/LV equipment tasks, complex installations, modifications and technical studies. You will support the development and operation of a cutting-edge facility that tests the materials and technologies needed for future fusion plants, including CHIMERA, the only rig in the world able to replicate the extreme conditions inside large fusion devices. In this role, you will oversee the delivery, operation and improvement of the FTF Yorkshire site’s power-supply infrastructure and low-voltage control systems, ensuring full compliance with current legislation. Working closely with a project manager, you will help maintain quality, manage risks, and keep delivery aligned with budgets and timelines, while communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders. Key Accountabilities: As a Senior Electrical Services Engineer at FTF Yorkshire, you will play a key role in the design, build, commissioning, and testing of industrial, fusion, and commercial electrical systems at LV and MV levels, including UPS, generators, and automatic change-over systems. Key Accountabilities: Lead and take ownership of assigned electrical projects, managing requirements capture, design, specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems. Ensure timely delivery of projects within specification, budget, and quality standards, working closely with a project manager. Act as a technical expert, providing guidance on fault finding, enhancements, problem-solving, and assurance through calculation and analysis of electrical systems. Coordinate and manage supplier and contractor input, reviewing documentation and controlling costs within Group budgets.
