Job Title: Health & Safety Manager Location: Crowle Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum Mon- Thurs 8am - 4.30pm Friday 7am - 1pm Reporting to: Managing Director / Operations Director Job Purpose We are seeking a proactive and practical Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage all aspects of health, safety and environmental compliance within our SME engineering business. The role will suit someone who can work independently, influence at all levels, and implement robust systems while maintaining a pragmatic, business-focused approach. Relevant engineering industry experience is not essential. The company is part of a wider group, and the role will work closely with the Group Health & Safety Manager to ensure alignment with group standards and best practice. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement and maintain the company's Health & Safety Management System Ensure compliance with all relevant UK health, safety and environmental legislation Lead risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work and COSHH assessments Conduct workplace inspections, audits and accident/near-miss investigations Provide competent advice and guidance to management and employees on health and safety matters Deliver and coordinate health & safety training, inductions and toolbox talks Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation using digital systems Support continuous improvement of safety cu...
