Second Chef — Full Time Permanent role at our Restaurant in MortonhallGarden Centre.
Our competitive rate of pay is £13.10 per hour. Hours are 45 per week over 5 days, with weekends required, so flexibility is essential.
The Role
As a Second Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the operation of all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen. You will work as part of a small team under the guidance of the Head Chef and be responsible for the preparation of fresh ingredients for our full menu range.
Responsibilities
* Prepare fresh ingredients
* Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
* Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
* Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
* Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
* Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day
