Project & Operations Coordinator

Salary: £30,000-£32,000
Hours: 7.30-4.30 pm

Our client is a well-established and successful commercial flooring contractor seeking a Project & Operations Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the construction or commercial flooring sector, with genuine opportunities for progression as the business continues to grow.
Working closely with the Contracts Managers, you will play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly, supporting site operations, coordinating materials, and maintaining efficient communication among clients, suppliers, and site teams.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting Contracts Managers with the day-to-day coordination of projects
2. Assisting with stock control, materials ordering and delivery scheduling
3. Carrying out weekly vehicle and compliance checks
4. Supporting project administration and ensuring jobs are organised efficiently
5. Attending sites when required to assist with measurements and project coordination
6. Acting as a central point of communication between the office, site teams, suppliers, and clients
7. Supporting inventory management and stock tracking processes
8. Taking increasing responsibility for stock control and operational processes as your experience develops
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
9. Previous experience within commercial flooring, construction or a related industry
10. Excellent organisational and planning skills
11. Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with clients, suppliers, and site teams
12. A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
13. The desire to learn, develop and progress within the business
14. Good IT skills, including experience using spreadsheets and job management systems
15. A full UK driving licence
Desirable
16. Forklift licence
17. Experience managing stock, materials, or inventory
18. Site-based project coordination experience
