Teaching Personnel is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northallerton. Location: Northallerton Start Date: September Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs (e.g. autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD) Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support plans Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that enables all children to thrive Use a patient and empathetic approach to help pupils develop confidence and independence Requirements: ✅ Experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or alternative setting) ✅ A nurturing, proactive, and adaptable attitude ✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills ✅ Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable but not essential This is a full-time position with real potential for the role to become permanent.
