Job Title: Industrial Gearbox Fitter
Location: Dudley, West Midlands

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum Plus Benefits
We are currently seeking a Industrial Gearbox Fitter to support our client's busy gearbox repair department. This role involves the dismantling and assembly of all types of industrial gearboxes, accompanied by the production of detailed inspection reports that highlight operational issues with the equipment being assessed.
Main Duties:
* Dismantling all types of gearboxes and producing clear, accurate reports for management.
* Assembling gearboxes to a high standard, ready for installation.
* Active involvement in day-to-day workshop operations, particularly relating to quality, Health & Safety, and environmental standards.
* Interpreting engineering data and documentation, including engineering drawings, technical data, and computer-generated programs.
* Working independently with minimal supervision, taking full responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
* Being proactive in identifying problems and suggesting business improvements.
* Ensuring standard work practices and procedures are consistently followed.
* Responding to emergency situations as required.

Qualifications and Skills:
* Completed apprenticeship in a relevant field or possess sufficient industry experience.
* Training in health & safety, environmental, or quality standards is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with a variety of gearbox types.
* Capable of following instructions and working independently.
* Proficient in selecting and utilising measuring and testing tools to ensure components meet required standards of quality and precision.
* Able to read and interpret engineering documentation.
* Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
