The Integration Transformation Director will lead and drive large-scale integration and transformation programs, ensuring that business strategies are effectively executed and operational synergies are realised. This role will act as a key bridge between executive leadership, business units, and technology teams to deliver measurable value, streamline processes, and enhance organisational performance during periods of change (e.g., mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, digital transformation).
£110 – £120 per hour – Outside IR35
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Define and execute the overall integration and transformation strategy aligned with corporate goals.
* Partner with the C-Suite and senior leadership to identify opportunities for operational efficiency, process optimization, and cultural alignment.
* Act as a change champion, fostering a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Integration & Transformation Execution
* Lead end-to-end integration initiatives for mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, ensuring delivery of synergy targets.
* Oversee cross-functional transformation programs spanning operations, finance, technology, HR, and customer-facing functions.
* Establish and manage the Transformation Management Office (TMO) or Integration Management Office (IMO) as required.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
* Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, boards, and external stakeholders.
* Drive effective communication strategies to ensure alignment across global teams.
* Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing risks and resolving conflicts proactively.
Governance, Risk & Performance Management
* Define governance frameworks, KPIs, and success metrics to measure progress and ensure accountability.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with complex integrations and transformations.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, financial, and organizational standards throughout the change journey.
People & Culture
* Lead cultural integration efforts, ensuring alignment of values, employee engagement, and retention.
* Coach and mentor senior leaders and teams navigating transformational change.
* Build and sustain high-performing cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience (10+ years) in leading complex integration and transformation programs within multinational organizations, consulting, or private equity-backed environments.
* Demonstrated success in M&A integration, enterprise transformation, or digital modernization initiatives.
* Strong track record of strategic program delivery, driving cost efficiencies, operational improvements, and cultural alignment.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and inspire executive leadership and global teams.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen; ability to translate strategy into execution with measurable outcomes.
* Deep understanding of organizational design, operating models, and process re-engineering.
* Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
