Location: Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8EN
Pay: £12.35 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Days 8:00 - 20:00
Rota: Includes every other weekend and bank holidays
About The Mountains
Set in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, The Mountains Care Home provides 24‑hour nursing and residential care for adults aged 65+ living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and mental health needs. Our home is known for its warm atmosphere, strong teamwork, and commitment to dignity and quality care.
Role Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role involves working a mixture of day and night shifts and offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person‑centred care in a calm and supportive environment.
The Role
* Support residents with their daily needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing.
* Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
* Assist with meals, hydration, mobility, and daily routines.
* Follow individual care plans and promote independence.
* Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.
* Work flexibly across day and night shifts as part of a rota.
Qualifications
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred).
* Experience in a care setting (essential).
* Desirable: experience in nursing care and/or EMI environments.
* Knowledge and experience of supporting people living with dementia.
* Kind, patient, and professional approach.
* Flexible to work days, alternate weekends, and bank holidays.
