Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our barista environment. Duties
* Supervise and manage kitchen and front-of-house staff during shifts and work along side them ensuring effective team management.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards throughout all operations.
* Assist in training new employees on culinary techniques, food production, and customer service best practices.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
* Collaborate with the management team to implement operational improvements and enhance service delivery.
* Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a knack for motivating teams to achieve their best performance.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Previous experience in food production or kitchen environments is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with barista duties is an advantage.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
