Aluminium Fabricator
Day shifts with flexibility for occasional nights
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator to join a well-established engineering business, working on long-term projects for the MOD.
The role involves fabricating and fitting aluminium components using jigs and fixtures, working from detailed engineering drawings and work instructions. Candidates will be expected to use a range of hand tools, measuring instruments, and inspection techniques to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and fitting of aluminium components in line with procedures and drawings
Use of jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and inspection equipment
Adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements
Booking hours and maintaining accurate records via internal systems
Maintaining high standards of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Practical fabrication/fitting experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of production processes and quality systems
Ability to work to deadlines, adapt to changing conditions, and use initiative
Good communication and teamworking skills
Pay & Benefits:
Day shift rate: £19.22 per hour
Night shift rate: £25.56 per hour (occasional cover required)
Plenty of overtime available if desired
