Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Support Medical Secretary to join the Cardiology Admin Team in Glan Clwyd Hospital.

The candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Main Duties

The role will be to provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and admin duties to the Cardiology Department.

This challenging position requires someone who is a team player, flexible, organised and able to work well under pressure.

The successful candidate will need to be an experienced typist, qualified to RSA Typing Level II (or equivalent). This position also requires excellent communication skills, the ability to meet demands of a busy environment and ability to represent the department with due professionalism.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
* RSA/OCR level 2 or equivalent (must be a proficient user of Microsoft Word)
* IT related qualification CLAIT plus /ECDL or equivalent

* AMSPAR – City & Guilds L3
* NVQ Customer Service L3


Experience


Essential criteria

* Knowledge of a range of administrative processes
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Experience of typing

* Competently communicates professionally and effectively with all levels of staff, verbally and in writing
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
