We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Accounting Manager. Youll play a key role in managing compliance, accounting, and treasury activities across UKG and John Sands, while supporting wider Finance initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Customs Duty compliance and accounting for UKG and John Sands, working closely with the International team, and becoming the key Finance contact for international trade.
* UKG Fixed Assets / Capital – accounting, reconciliation, and reporting, in addition supporting our Financial Planning & Analysis team with planning and estimating work.
* Inter-company accounting and reconciliation for John Sands.
* Month‑end close responsibilities, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, variance analysis, and commentary.
* Administration of the Purchase Authorisation Index, which defines the company policy on the level of financial commitment each colleague can make.
* Banking – absence cover for the daily banking process, inputting payments and direct debits into online banking as part of a team rota.
* Treasury – responsibility for cashflow reporting across UKG and John Sands.
* Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations within the roles area of remit.
* Assist the Financial Accounting Manager as required on compliance, tax work and UK & Ireland statutory reporting – acting as the main support.
* Ad‑hoc project work as required.
Qualifications

* Part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA background required, ideally actively studying.
