Registered Manager | Children's Residential Service | Chorley
Lancashire County Council is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead one of our Children’s Residential Homes, based in Chorley. This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours per week) with a salary of £46,142 - £51,357 per annum.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead the home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015
* Act as the legally Registered Manager under the Care Standards Act 2000
* Ensure the home operates according to its Statement of Purpose, meeting the assessed needs of young people
* Champion safeguarding, care planning, and continuous improvement
* Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing staff team
* Drive quality assurance and performance management across the service
* Promote young people’s rights and ensure their voices are heard
What we’re looking for
* QCF Level 5 or NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* A formal management qualification and experience in residential childcare
* Proven leadership in managing staff and delivering high-quality care
* Strong knowledge of children’s legislation and safeguarding protocols
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
