Our client is a global professional services organisation, backed by a Tier 1 Private Equity investor, currently undergoing a significant period of change. With a substantial international footprint and a complex operating model, the business is seeking an experienced transformation leader to partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team to deliver measurable cost efficiencies and structural improvements.
The Role:
The Interim Director of Finance Transformation will play a critical role in reviewing and redesigning the finance operating model, driving initiatives to reduce the labour cost base, and overseeing restructuring and offshoring projects across multiple geographies.
Working directly with the CFO, this individual will take ownership of identifying operational inefficiencies, implementing sustainable solutions, and ensuring transformation projects are delivered on time and aligned with strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Partnering with the CFO and executive team to evaluate and optimise the current finance operating model.
* Leading a detailed review of the cost base, identifying opportunities for simplification, consolidation, and savings.
* Designing and executing restructuring and offshoring programmes, ensuring alignment with both business and investor expectations.
* Overseeing transformation projects spanning finance processes, systems, shared services, and reporting structures.
* Establishing and embedding KPI frameworks and governance models to track performance and drive accountability.
* Managing senior stakeholders globally to ensure buy-in and successful delivery of change initiatives.
* Providing strategic and financial insight to support long-term value creation and efficiency improvement.
Key Criteria:
* A CFO-calibre leader with a proven track record of guiding complex, international businesses through transformation.
* Extensive experience in large PLC or PE-backed organisations (£1bn+, with deep understanding of global operating structures.
* Demonstrable success in leading offshoring, shared services, and restructuring initiatives across multiple markets.
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability, with the gravitas to influence C-suite and investor stakeholders.
* Experienced in designing and executing finance transformation strategies that deliver measurable cost and process efficiencies.
* Highly adaptable and delivery-focused, capable of operating effectively in fast-paced and changing environments.
* Immediately available or on short notice, able to commit to a 12-month transformation programme.
