Role Overview:
Responsible for supporting the Retail development of the Franchise business across all markets, focusing on business development and maximising overall sales and profitability. Support the Head of Brand Implementation & Central Operations and Local Franchise Partner.
The strategic objectives include collaborating with the Franchise Retail and Operations manager to support the overall business direction. Acting as a brand guardian for the JD brand and global processes.
The role of the Retail Onboarding & Development Manager is to educate, nurture, and support franchise partners, ensuring teams are fully supported and motivated to achieve the best possible representation of JD. Equip and support them to maximise sales and meet global JD standards.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Coach all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Group's Franchising retail operation.
2. Cover trade, operations, visual merchandising, training, and development.
3. Support partners in all setup procedures to successfully launch franchises in each market.
4. Assist in forecasting, annual budgeting, cost control in line with JD global guidelines, and maximising store sales at various levels.
5. Coach franchise teams in store operations, team development, brand presentation, and customer experience.
6. Build effective cross-functional relationships within the organisation and with franchise partners.
7. Use leadership and influencing skills to align stakeholders and achieve strategic goals.
8. Organise regular retail and operations meetings to review processes and improve communication.
9. Support property strategy execution, including store openings and closures.
10. Troubleshoot operational issues to improve efficiencies and systems, aligning with JD global standards.
11. Analyse complex data and provide actionable insights to the franchise team.
12. Ensure compliance with operational measures to mitigate legal and financial risks.
13. Work with retail operations team to provide strategy, guidance, and coaching to meet corporate standards.
14. Support business performance through training, visual merchandising, KPI management, and sales growth initiatives.
15. Conduct in-market visits to ensure brand guidelines and JD DNA adherence, identifying additional training needs.
16. Maintain training materials in line with global business updates.
17. Drive operational efficiency and visual excellence across markets, maintaining a consistent brand image.

1. Support leadership in building, developing, and coaching a high-performing retail team focused on quality and operational excellence.
2. Encourage development and motivation within franchise teams to achieve personal and business objectives.
3. Develop capabilities within the team to scale with business growth.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:
1. Experience in a similar role is essential.
2. Willingness to work out of hours and travel as necessary.
3. Strong business acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and trade analysis on a global scale.
4. Proven ability to maximise store sales at various levels.
5. Experience in project ownership from vision to execution and stakeholder management.
6. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
8. Clear understanding of the JD brand and corporate strategy.
