About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable professional to join our fantastic team in Manchester. The Office Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and fast-moving business where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office day to day. Being the hub of the office requires someone who enjoys keeping several plates spinning at once without losing their cool, as they seamlessly transition between being our guest’s first point of contact to supporting the rest of our team members with their expert administration skills.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Managing relationships with the Landlords, their Managing Agent, Asset Management, Cleaning Company, Neighbours, Contractors and dealing with all Site related matters
* Undertaking ad hoc projects related to the office
* Greet visitors either in person or by phone – answer and refer any inquiries
* Administrative support to senior members of our team
* Developing and implementing new administrative systems where necessary
* Recording office expenditure and managing the office budget
* Maintaining supplies of stationery and equipment
* Maintaining the condition of the office including daily checks of the office and arranging for necessary repairs with either
* Property Management or various vendors
* Organizing on and off-site meetings and catering (including Board & Management)
* Managing office Health & Safety procedures and leading the Fire Wardens and first aider teams for the office
* Responsible for maintaining a great office culture, organizing office events (i.e. Social events, Christmas party) and working alongside senior team members to ensure we are providing the best office environment possible
* General HR admin and support for the Manchester team, including as appropriate, preparing and issuing contractual documentation
* Employee Onboarding – welcoming new team members and helping them to get settled
* Working with Line Managers and IT Support to ensure that all new starters have been set up with appropriate equipment and permissions ready for the start date

The role is multi-functional, so we are looking for a ‘hands on’ organizer and an all-round multi-tasker, who is passionate, enthusiastic and reliable with plenty of common sense, helpful, proactive nature and with great attention to detail.

* Ideally previous experience in a secretarial or PA type role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email scheduling tools (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, in particular)
* Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. printers)
* Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
