We’re working with a specialist SEMH school in Telford that supports young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. It’s about building trust, creating calm, and showing up for students who haven’t always had it easy. You’ll be part of a team that helps pupils feel safe, heard, and capable of achieving more than they thought possible. You’ll be: Planning and delivering lessons that meet students where they are—academically and emotionally. Using positive behaviour strategies to support pupils and create a respectful learning space. Working alongside a brilliant team of specialists, from TAs to therapists, to deliver joined-up support. Building strong, consistent relationships that help students thrive both in and out of the classroom. What we’re looking for QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification). Experience working with SEMH pupils or in alternative education settings. Confidence managing challenging behaviour with calm and compassion. An understanding of trauma-informed approaches and the impact of adversity on learning. A team player who believes in the power of education to change lives.
