Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) have announced a multi-billion-pound investment in a major new theme park and resort in Bedfordshire in a move that represents a significant vote of confidence in the UK visitor economy and creative industries.
This transformative investment, which is set to deliver one of Europe's largest visitor attractions drawing 8.5m visitors a year, will bring nearly 20,000 jobs during the construction period, with a further 8,000 new jobs across the tourism and creative industries when it opens. Situated within the OxCam corridor development area, the investment is intended to unleash the potential of wider investment and economic development in the region.
DCMS is leading the Government's delivery programme to maximise the benefits from the investment in terms of jobs, skills, infrastructure and supply chains working alongside colleagues in Departments for Business and Trade, Transport and the Office for Investment.

Job description
This a really broad and stretching role. The post holder will support the PMO function and broader programme delivery, including providing a secretariat function to governance boards, reporting progress and working with other Government departments. The post holder will report into one of the G7 PMO/Programme Managers and there are no line management responsibilities for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
* Managing the programme's governance and reporting arrangements, including scheduling and running governance boards and managing reporting processes.
* Providing governance and secretariat support for the programme's senior and working-level governance boards, including drafting agendas and detailed minutes, and following up on actions.
* Supporting our risk management processes, including regular reporting and escalation into the governance boards.
* Support with regular departmental and external (e.g. NISTA and Cabinet Office) reporting.
* Assisting with internal and external assurance reviews.
Person specification
The ideal candidate would have the following key skills and experience:
Essential requirements:
* Experience of working in a project, programme or PMO team.
* Experience of providing a secretariat function and experience of working with senior boards and stakeholders in a corporate or project role.
* Strong verbal and written skills, including drafting detailed and accurate minutes, developing meeting agendas, and recording actions and decisions.
* Experience of commissioning, chasing and collating and quality assuring reporting information and papers.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with particular focus on communication.
Desirable Skills:
* A recognised
Project and/or Programme Management qualification
* e.g. PFQ / PMQ / MSP / Agile PM / Scrum Master / P3O etc.
* Experience of working on either a project/programme in the Government's Major Project Portfolio or large scale, complex programme.
