Qualified Social Worker

Pay: £42 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Assessment & Safeguarding team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's Assessment & Safeguarding team in Merseyside. Our client has positions available in their team, and you will be supported by an experienced team manager. The culture in this Merseyside local authority is strong and positive, with regular supervision and group reflective sessions.
As part of this Merseyside Safeguarding team, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening when support is needed. Your work will involve direct assessments with children and families, collaborating with agencies like police and health to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes. The service maintains strong links with Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help teams to promote community support when social care involvement is no longer necessary.
Following social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions on appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will help you establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.

Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
* Experienced in Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection
* Supportive of child and family planning, pre-proceedings, and court processes
* Knowledgeable about factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect
* Capable of undertaking Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis and planning
* Skilled in direct work with children and families
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
* Familiar with Child Protection legislation and issues
* Committed to continuous improvement for the best outcomes
* Excellent in mediation and negotiation
* Skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families
* Dedicated to providing high-quality service
* Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
* At least 2 years qualified experience

* Assess risks, protection needs, and social care requirements
* Manage an agreed caseload
* Use specialist communication skills for optimal outcomes
* Develop individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment
