Reporting to Kevin Lall, Lead Software Developer, you’ll collaborate across Product, UX, and Development teams, designing smart test plans, identifying bugs, and support continuous delivery in an Agile environment. What you’ll do; As a QA Tester at Macs Adventure, you’ll be essential to ensuring high-quality, user-centric experiences across our website, booking engine, and customer platform. You’ll help us maintain reliability, scalability, and performance as we continue to innovate. Design, document, and execute manual test cases for new features and enhancements, initially on our Websites and Mobile App. Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and developers throughout the sprint lifecycle. Identify, document, and track bugs and usability issues using Azure DevOps. Conduct regression testing before releases and support test planning for feature testing. Support test automation initiatives by identifying candidates for automation and validating outputs. Help define acceptance criteria and ensure features meet the agreed definitions of done. Conduct API testing and front-end testing across browsers/devices (BrowserStack or similar). Advocate for user experience and accessibility by thinking like an end user. Proactively contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and standards. What you’ll bring; 3 years of experience in manual software testing, ideally in an Agile development team. Experience writing and maintaining test cases and test plans. Familiarity with defect tracking and test case management in Azure DevOps. Solid understanding of web technologies and software development practices. Excellent attention to detail and ability to think critically. Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android) or using simulators/emulators, as well as Web based sites and portals. Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Playwright). Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman) and basic SQL is desirable. Awareness of security testing principles such as the OWASP Top 10. Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills. A passion for travel, user experience, and quality! Not essential, it would be a bonus if you have experience of; Performance testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner. Automating API testing with tools like Postman, Newman, or REST Assured. Understanding and testing for web accessibility using tools like Axe, WAVE, or Lighthouse. Running automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, especially using Azure Pipelines. Familiarity with BDD and Gherkin syntax (Given / When / Then). Contributing to or creating a test strategy for a product or team. Experience with internationalisation / localisation testing (languages, currencies, regions). Working with e-commerce platforms or booking systems, especially in the travel sector. Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) and how it impacts testing. Using browser developer tools for debugging and inspecting front-end issues. Experience testing content-driven platforms like Umbraco CMS.
