The Opportunity
We are seeking a Hard FM Lead to take full technical and compliance ownership of a flagship HMRC site in Stratford - a modern, 240,000 sq ft Grade A commercial building.
This is a site-based leadership role where you will act as the technical authority, overseeing engineering delivery, driving compliance, and ensuring the building operates to the high standards expected within a central government environment.
The role will suit an electrically biased leader with strong exposure to HV/LV systems, commercial plant, and complex building services, who is comfortable operating across compliance, client engagement, and technical decision-making.

The Role
As Hard FM Lead, you will:
Take ownership of all hard services delivery across electrical, mechanical, and building systems
Act as the Authorised/Responsible Person interface, or work closely with them, for HV/LV systems
Lead statutory compliance across all disciplines, ensuring alignment with central government standards
Manage and deliver the PPM programme, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard
Oversee reactive maintenance and ensure issues are resolved efficiently
Manage and develop a team of engineers and specialist subcontractors
Maintain control of permits, RAMS, and safe systems of work
Provide clear reporting to Mitie leadership and HMRC stakeholders
Identify and manage risk across building operations
What We're Looking For
Strong background in Hard FM or Building Services within commercial or public-sector environments
Electrically qualified (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum)
Proven experience working with HV/LV systems (AP or similar exposure desirable)
Experience within central government, NHS, MOD, or similarly regulated environments
Track record of managing statutory compliance and audits
Good understanding of commercial office buildings and plant
Experience leading engineers and managing subcontractors
Confident communicator, comfortable in a client-facing role
