Accounts Receivable Finance Assistant
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Doncaster on a 12-month fixed term contract.
As a Finance Assistant you will be joining an experienced Team and be integral to assisting in the management of the sales ledger by ensuring payments are received on a timely basis and the risk of bad debt actively minimised.
Key areas of Responsibilities:
• Take a proactive approach in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
• Work with the banking team to ensure customer transactions are all processed and allocated for the Parts and Recovery charges bank accounts in a timely and effective manner
• Maintain the integrity of the sales ledger with regular reviews of all accounts and in summary
• Report regularly on outstanding debt – highlighting key risks to management
• Ensure controls are in place to manage company debt effectively
• Chase outstanding debtors to minimise business exposure to bad debt
• Negotiate repayment plans and following up payments as required and as approved by management
• Adhoc tasks when required
Skills & Experience Required:
• Experience in accounts receivable or credit control
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in Microsoft Excel
