Your new role
As a Legal Biller, you'll play a key role in the organisation. You'll be responsible for accurate and timely billing across all civil law areas, working directly with fee earners to optimise claim levels and streamline billing practices. You'll resolve queries, appeal incorrect assessments, and advise on best billing methods, all while contributing to smarter systems and stronger revenue recovery. This is a role where your expertise will make a visible impact, and where initiative is not just welcomed, but expected.
What you'll need to succeed
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in legal billing
* Strong knowledge of Civil Legal Aid billing procedures
* Confidence in fee collection via telephone
* Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills
* Familiarity with case management systems
* A calm, professional approach in a fast-paced environment
* A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for process improvement
* Experience with SIAC and High-Cost cases is a bonus.
