Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking audit team, you’ll take ownership of assignments, build meaningful client relationships, and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services across diverse sectors. The Opportunity As an Audit Senior, you will lead audits from planning to completion, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients while supporting and mentoring junior colleagues. Key Responsibilities Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion Prepare risk assessments, audit plans, and tailored audit programmes Manage on-site fieldwork and act as the primary client contact Review and supervise work completed by junior team members Ensure compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards (UK GAAP, ISA) Draft audit reports and findings for Manager/Director review Contribute to audit quality improvements and internal best practice What We’re Looking For Experience & Qualifications ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist) 2–4 years’ UK practice experience, operating at Audit Senior level Proven track record of leading audits and managing multiple engagements Technical & Professional Skills Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards (ISA) Experience with audit software (experience with MyWorkpapers advantageous) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills Highly organised with a proactive, quality-driven approach Willingness to travel to client sites within the regional network What’s On Offer Competitive salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience) Hybrid working model with flexibility around office/site attendance Clear and structured progression path into Assistant Manager/Manager level Exposure to a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors Ongoing professional development and study support (if required) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme and additional employee benefits Supportive, collaborative culture focused on career growth and work-life balance Location & Working Arrangements Sheffield-based role Combination of office, client site visits, and home working If you’re ready to take the next step in your audit career and join a firm that genuinely invests in its people, we’d love to hear from you.
