Project Manager – Discovery Engineering

A leading global media and entertainment organisation is seeking a Project Manager to join its Discovery Engineering team, responsible for delivering innovative content management and discovery experiences across multiple international streaming platforms.
About the Team
The Discovery Engineering team develops and maintains a multi-language Propositional Content Management System used to power several major streaming propositions across entertainment, sport, and kids’ content. This platform enables editors to curate homepages, create collections, and highlight content for audiences worldwide.
As the team continues to evolve its technology and user experience, this role will be central to managing projects that enhance how millions of viewers discover and engage with content.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the delivery of multiple projects within the Discovery Engineering function.
* Coordinate across internal and external teams, ensuring delivery timelines are communicated and expectations managed.
* Collaborate with Release Managers and other stakeholders to define, track, and deliver contractual commitments on schedule.
* Maintain an overall view of priorities, aligning projects with strategic goals and available resources.
* Work with delivery teams to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and resolve blockers.
* Support roadmap planning, milestone tracking, and reporting across programmes of work.
* Act as a central point for project documentation, progress updates, and stakeholder communication.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by refining delivery processes and ensuring best practices are followed.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager, ideally with 5+ years in technology, media, or entertainment sectors.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several concurrent projects.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
* Experience working with cross-company or external delivery partners.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Monday.com.
* Analytical mindset with experience tracking KPIs and reporting on progress.
* Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Desirable: Experience with content management systems, metadata, or media platform technologies.
