Job Description
Primary focus areas will include:
* Upgrade of Sentinel workspace environment
* Optimisation of Sentinel instances across the organisations estate
* Integration between Sentinel and Defender to the current MS best practice
* Support the Delivery Lead with meeting the requirements of the Cyber Improvement Programme
* Working with the other IT Operations teams to ensure minimal disruption through effective planning
* Deliver and maintain the cyber elements that underpins programme delivery
* Ensure tasks are prioritised and delivered in accordance with programme requirements.
* Provide technical subject matter expertise for the programme.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Cyber Security Engineer should have:
* Strong knowledge of cyber security principles and practices.
* Experience with MS Defender and Sentinel
* Experience working with IT systems and networks in a professional setting.
* Familiarity with public sector security regulations and compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in identifying and mitigating security risks effectively.
* Ability to analyse and address security incidents promptly.
* Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
* Relevant certifications in cyber security or related fields.
