Rate of Pay: £15.06 - £19.68 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HGV Driver to deliver a safe, efficient, and high-quality waste collection and transportation service. Based at Household Waste Recycling Centres, the successful candidate will operate a range of heavy goods vehicles while ensuring compliance with transport regulations, health and safety requirements, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
* Operate a range of vehicles, including skip vehicles, hook loaders, and articulated vehicles with trailers.
* Safely collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials to designated disposal sites.
* Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects in accordance with procedures.
* Ensure compliance with Driver CPC requirements, tachograph regulations, and Operator Licence obligations.
* Maintain accurate records of loads, vehicle movements, and waste transfers.
Essentials:
* Valid LGV/HGV Driving Licence relevant to the vehicles operated.
* Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
* Digital Tachograph Card.
* Proven experience driving HGV/LGV vehicles in a commercial or public sector environment.
* Strong knowledge of driving regulations, tachograph requirements, and Working Time Directive rules.
* Understanding of health and safety requirements within transport and waste operations.
