Set in the idyllic location of Cotes Mill, we are seeking a Sales Assistant to join our growing team here at Floors of Stone, a leading supplier of natural stone, porcelain, and wood flooring. Part of the budding deVOL group of companies, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual, ideally with a passion for interiors to offer creative and practical advice to customers.
The main purpose of the role is dealing with customer enquiries on the telephone, via email, and face-to-face in our beautiful showroom. You will be required to gain a sound understanding of the products and business logistics enabling you to sell and handle customer services with confidence, in a non-target driven environment. Previous sales experience is desired but not essential.
Floors of Stone runs all operations in-house, meaning you see all aspects of the business and have the opportunity to get involved in the business development and growth. Further duties will be discussed depending on the experience and strengths of the succesful candidate.
Essential skills and requirements:
* Minimum GCSE Grade C / 4 in English and Mathematics
* Utilize strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with customers and understand their needs
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly
* Computer literate, experience in Sage is desirable
* Able to multi-task and handle the pressure of a busy sales office, with strong attention to detail
* Willingness and ambition to learn and improve
* Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude
The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service ethic and be a patient, attentive individual who can prioritise their own workload. You must be polite, presentable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment, available to work Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, with the flexibility to work Saturdays when required, this can be paid or taken as a day in lieu during the week.
