Spot / Projection Welder (2 Shift – Temp to Perm) Location: Ferryhill Pay Rate: £14.65 per hour (2 shift rate) Contract: Temporary to Permanent Department: Primary Operations Jackson Hogg are hiring on behalf of our client in Ferryhill (Primary Ops) for an experienced Spot / Projection Welder to join their manufacturing team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a great opportunity to secure a long-term role within a well-established sheet metal manufacturing environment. Working Pattern * Day 1 induction on dayshift * Moving straight onto a 2-shift rotation * Full-time hours Pay * £14.65 per hour (2 shift rate – advertised rate) * Initial induction day paid at £12.21 per hour (dayshift rate) The Role You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality spot and projection welding on a range of sheet metal components within the Primary Operations department. Key responsibilities include: * Performing spot and projection welding to a high standard * Working with jigs, fixtures and basic measuring equipment * Following standard operating procedures * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Managing workload independently within a team environment * Ensuring all components meet required quality standards * Maintaining safe working practices at all times Candidate Requirements * Experience in spot and/or projection welding * Background within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Strong attention to detail and quality standards * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively * Reliable and able to work a 2-shift rotation If you are an experienced Spot or Projection Welder seeking a temp-to-perm opportunity in Ferryhill, we would welcome your application.
